What should I do if I am interested in pursuing group business?

I have a meeting scheduled with an individual client to discuss group benefits, what do I do next?

Prior to the meeting, review the Group Benefits Quotation Guide and contact your STRATA Consultant with any questions.  STRATA could be available to attend the meeting.  The Group Benefits Quotation Guide will outline all of the information required to prepare quotations and create the Market Survey report.

I don't know much about group benefits, how will my client be serviced after the plan is in place?

STRATA is available to support brokers with the servicing of their accounts.  STRATA can deal directly with the client on service issues after the plan is in place.

In addition to the ongoing servicing of the plan, STRATA will complete additional market surveys as required.

How does the benefits plan renew?

The benefits plan will renew annually.  STRATA will negotiate the renewal on behalf of you and your client.  STRATA is also available to meet with the client to present the renewal.

Note that the revenue sharing arrangement between the Daystar broker and STRATA should be established upfront and be based on the service needs of the client.  STRATA's involvement in the group benefit process will depend on this arrangement and on the location of the prospect or client.

The Total Advantage Market Survey

We will conduct a complete survey of the market place, when appropriate, and prepare a professional report  ready for presentation to your client.  The report contains:

  • Analysis of cost, underwriting arrangement, service, and contractual provisions for each of the carriers
  • Rate and premium comparison page
  • Specific lines of coverage included in the quote
  • Steps for implementation
  • Supplementary benefits for consideration
  • Deviations from the requested plan design

We will customize the report to include your name, company information and logo.

Client Service

Our level of involvement on your accounts will be customized to meet your needs. Whether you are an employee benefits expert or new to the industry, we can create a service model to fit your organization. Service could include:

Renewal Process

We will negotiate each renewal with the carrier and your client will receive a detailed renewal report that outlines our analysis, plan claims experience and renewal adjustment. STRATA reviews every client’s policy and coverage at renewal.  We will also customize the renewal report with your name, company information and logo.

As benefit consultants, we maintain an extensive collection of resource material on a wide variety of group insurance subjects. STRATA’s team of consultants, analysts and benefit technicians contribute to this knowledge pool and peer review all information before it is presented to a client.
